Leidos has challenging and exciting engineering opportunities available now! We are seeking a detail-oriented Change Management Specialist to support our Agile software development program. This role will serve as a critical bridge between development teams, stakeholders, and government customers, ensuring proper documentation, tracking, and coordination of software releases and program priorities. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to support the Air Vehicle Planning System (APS) mission. In this mission we support US Air Force mission planning requirements in support of the US Strategic Command.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform quality assurance reviews of Jira tickets for completeness, including acceptance criteria, user-facing documentation, and proper categorization.
• Transition tickets and assign fix versions based on established release rules.
• Coordinate release activities by providing testable ticket lists to on-site teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation of deployed software versions across all environments (Dev/Test/Prod) in Confluence.
• Generate and distribute release/sprint accomplishment reports to the customer.
• Verify completion of Sprint Software Test Reports and Test Readiness Reports.
• Attend and actively participate in Strategic Mission Planning Execution System (SMPES) Program Backlog Review meetings, representing APS capabilities and capturing government priorities.
• Participate in System Engineering Working Group sessions to stay informed of program updates and technical developments.
• Maintain and update the current SMPES priorities list.
• Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules for SMPES-related work items.
• Coordinate software deliveries to the customer, ensuring compliance with predefined delivery formats.
• Provide manual inputs for delivery packages when automation gaps exist (e.g., code scan results).
• Ensure the ticket backlog aligns with customer needs and program objectives.
• Validate that each release contains properly labeled and testable software items.
• Monitor and ensure timely receipt of SMPES information and requirements.
• Evaluate risks associated with STRATCOM initiatives and provide technical guidance.
• Support appropriate prioritization of SMPES work across development teams.

 

Basic Qualifications:

• US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience or a Master’s degree with 1+ year of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 2+ years of experience in software development lifecycle management, configuration management, or technical program coordination.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments supporting federal government programs.
• Proficiency with ticket management, queries, and workflow automation within Jira or equivalent software.
• Experience with Confluence or similar documentation platforms.
• Familiarity with Git version control and branching strategies.
• Understanding of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to create and execute Jira queries and basic automation scripts.
• Experience with roadmaps or development schedules.
• Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint) team player who can express and explain their ideas to others.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• US Citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience with the Air Vehicle Planning System (APS) for mission planning.
• Experience with USSTRATCOM Nuclear Planning process and requirements.
• Experience supporting DoD or federal civilian agency programs.
• Familiarity with SMPES or similar mission systems.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments supporting federal government programs.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $59,150.00 - $106,925.00
