We are seeking a highly motivated Business Controller, Service to join the Nordics Finance Team.
In this role, you will play a key part in supporting key business leaders and the Head of Business Control, Nordics in driving and monitoring the business performance by providing financial insight. The purpose of the role is also to ensure that business KPIs are logical and add value, actions are defined based on performance, and that benefit realizations are delivered. Business Controller is also accountable for executing the planning process according to global guidelines with the business leaders.
Responsibilities and Key Activities:
- Business partnering with strong outside-in mindset understanding of the business logic and dependencies between key operational processes, relationships and metrics, challenging the business leaders to enhance decision making and business performance
- Being the key finance professional and trusted advisor of finance matters in the organization and promote and ensure adequate finance understanding in the business organization
- Evaluating industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization’s short, medium, and long-term financial and competitive position
- Providing actionable insights, key findings, and conclusions to business, not just numbers
- Performing or organizing the execution of the business controlling tasks as defined in KONE Financial Control Model to ensure that key reporting principles have been implemented and followed for Service business
- Drive the development of Service business controlling activities within Nordic Business Controller team
- Drive and analyze the weekly/monthly actual performance of the business, as well as the deviations compared to planned (budget/forecast) performance
- Provide and share the executive summary of the performance of FL Service business including opportunities and risk with business leaders.
- Participating in more general analysis tasks that support the Business Line, e.g., analyzing the opportunity funnel, and producing scenario analyses for versatile purposes (e.g., market demand vs. pricing in different scenarios).
- Maintaining strong connections with other stakeholders and other Finance colleagues within KONE to share best practices and to understand current and future trends
Requirements for the role:
- At least 5-7 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a finance function and including top management finance business partnering responsibility
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Solution-focused with ability to seeing the whole and prioritize the most impactful, but also willingness to dive into details as needed
- Great collaboration skills, and keen interest to work and build trusted relationships with business leaders, while acting as an influencer in a matrix organization
- Proven record of successful change implementation and development mindset
- Good knowledge of finance tools including ERP, BI and data visualization tools, and genuine interest to keep up with and adapt to the most recent developments
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge
- Master’s degree in Finance (or another relevant field)
- Fluent written and spoken English. Finnish and Swedish/Norwegian/Danish is considered as an advantage but not mandatory
- Willingness to travel occasionally
The position is located in Helsinki, Finland or another Nordic capital (Stockholm, Copenhagen or Oslo) and the preferred start would be in Dec 26/Jan 27.
