Description
Work Setup: Monday to Friday, Hybrid Setup
Location: BGC, Taguig
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Finance policies, operating guidelines, and control frameworks in alignment with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
- Provide technical accounting advisory on complex matters, including preparation of accounting memos, policies, guidelines, and recommendations for Finance stakeholders.
- Lead impact assessments and implementation activities for new and amended accounting and sustainability standards, including IFRS requirements and related system enhancements.
- Review financial reporting and disclosures for compliance with applicable accounting standards, engage with internal and external auditors, and monitor emerging accounting developments.
- Support strategic Finance initiatives, including process improvements, third-party financial assessments, Finance projects, system implementations, and cross-functional initiatives as a subject matter expert.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation required.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, technical accounting, or accounting advisory.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements; exposure to IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 implementation in the insurance industry is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills, with the ability to develop practical solutions to complex accounting and business issues.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines and cross-functional teams.
