Job Description:
The Contract Manager implements Select Health policies for the negotiation, execution, and maintenance of Select Health self-funded contracts and documents. The Manager works with all levels of staff and management to administer the contract review process to ensure proper review, documentation, and signature. This position manages acentralized contract filing/maintenance and storage.This position can be performed remotely with business travel as-needed. Intermountain Health maintains employment registration in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming. Candidates in other locations may be considered. Currently, we are not hiring remote workers in the following states: CA, CT, HI, IL, MA, MN, NY, PA, RI, VT, and WA. Please note that a video interview through Microsoft Teams will be required as well as potential onsite interviews and meetings.
Essential Functions
- Oversees the contract approval process, including preparing documents for signature.
- Understands and implements SelectHealth standards for self-funded documents. Drafts, reviews, and negotiates self-funded contracts.
- Develops, updates, and maintains a process for the timely electronic filing and storage of all contracts.
- Assists in providing training in the creation, development, negotiation, approval, execution, and maintenance of contracts and standards to SelectHealth caregivers.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, from an accredited institution which will be verified, in an applicable major.
- Five years of experience working with and analyzing contracts.
- Intermediate experience with word processing and spreadsheet programs.
- Excellent writing, editing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
- Legal or paralegal experience.
- Seven years of experience in working with and analyzing contracts
- Experience working for an insurer, health care provider, pharmacy benefit manager, or pharmaceutical company.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Additional Information
- This is an exempt, full-time position. Pay offers are determined by prior years of relevant experience within the established pay range.
- In addition to the annual salary, to show our commitment to you and assist with your transition, we may offer a sign-on and relocation bonus when applicable. With this position, you are eligible to participate in the Annual Pay for Performance (AP4P) Plan. This plan enables Intermountain Health to provide leaders with an additional performance compensation opportunity. The AP4P award opportunities are calculated as a percentage of your base salary. Awards are paid out based on attainment of selected Board-approved goals.
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
- Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
