WORKING CONDITIONS:
This classification works both inside and outside with exposure to weather, odors, dust and pollen.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Incumbents drive and/or walk routes for extended periods of time in all types of weather conditions; work also includes standing and walking on sidewalks and on uneven and slippery surfaces; sit at a desk or while driving a vehicle; bend, twist, turn and reach; lift and carry, and push/pull up to fifty (50) pounds; ability to see well enough to read meters, maps, devices, documents, computer screen, and the road while driving; ability to hear well enough to receive information over the telephone and in person; ability to speak well enough to be understood by others; hand and finger dexterity sufficient to operate tools, hand held equipment, and computer keyboard.
- Education equivalent to completion of twelfth grade is required.
- One year of recent related work experience, such as water service, billing, or record keeping, which involves customer service, is required.
LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATE:
Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record are required as a condition of initial and continued employment.
