The Position

Job title: Medical Affairs Graduate - Access and Innovation

Location: Burgess Hill, Sussex, UK

Length of programme: 2 years (September 2027 - August 2029)

Our Early in Career Development Programme accelerates your growth to directly impact patients' lives. Start your career with a UK market leader in biotechnology, recognised as the #1 Best Big Company to Work For (2021) and dedicated to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

The Opportunity:

The Vision of the Access and Innovation team is to help people live longer, healthier lives by collaborating internally and partnering externally to enable wide-scale adoption of sustainable innovations into the health systems. We do this via 3 strategic pillars;

  • Effective system engagement
  • Accelerate the commercialisation of high medical value (HMV) solutions
  • Lead with Scientific Excellence

The Medical affairs team has a key role in this, empowering healthcare professionals and improving patients’ lives by leading evidence generation, scientific engagement and medical education to enable the adoption of our HMV solutions

As a Medical Affairs Graduate, you will have an impact by supporting the synthesis of clinical evidence, the creation of high-impact medical education, and the delivery of scientific engagement strategies across our HMV solution portfolio.

Key responsibilities

  • Evidence generation and literature review: Perform literature searches, critically evaluate scientific publications, and assist in synthesising clinical evidence to support publication plans and HMV value propositions
  • Medical education and content development: Assist in drafting, updating, and reviewing balanced, high-quality educational materials, training modules, and clinical slide decks for healthcare professionals and internal teams.
  • Scientific engagement and event support: Support the execution of medical congresses, advisory boards, and scientific meetings by drafting speaker briefings, preparing presentation assets, and capturing actionable clinical insights.
  • Medical information and scientific enquiries: Draft timely, compliant, and evidence-based responses to technical and clinical inquiries from healthcare professionals.
  • Cross-functional scientific alignment: Collaborate with cross-functional partners—including Clinical, Commercial, and Regulatory teams—to ensure scientific accuracy and alignment across all Medical Affairs projects and product deliverables.

Who are you

To be successful in this opportunity, applicants should also have:

  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s (BSc) or Master’s (MSc) degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Pharmacology, or a related scientific/healthcare discipline.
  • We’re looking for curious, enthusiastic graduates who are eager to learn and passionate about healthcare, with a background in science and an ability to make complex medical topics easy to understand. We value clear communication, good organisation, and a collaborative spirit—people who enjoy working in a team, sharing ideas, and managing their time well. Above all, a genuine interest in medical technology, a willingness to ask questions, and a drive to support patient care will help you thrive in this role.

Please note: Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Candidates must already hold a valid authorisation to work in the UK.

Application process:

Stage 1: Submit your CV and cover letter.
