About the Role
The Group Marketing Manager, Social Media, will lead the social media strategy across the Cardiology Group, serving as the strategic leader responsible for developing, executing, measuring, and optimizing social media programs that drive commercial growth, strengthen brand leadership, and support corporate reputation objectives.
This individual will establish and oversee a unified social media vision across all Cardiology businesses, balancing the unique needs of individual franchises with enterprise-wide priorities. The role will partner closely with Business-Unit Marketing, Corporate Communications, Digital Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, and Commercial leadership to ensure clear, compliant, and impactful social engagement.
The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative and influential leader who can seamlessly navigate across multiple businesses and stakeholder groups to align priorities, drive execution, and scale best practices. They will possess deep expertise in organic and paid social media, social listening, thought leader engagement, analytics, and emerging AI technologies. Equally important is a passion for coaching and developing talent while fostering a high-performing, innovative team culture.
Work Mode
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our Arden Hill, MN or Maple Grove, MN office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:
Social Media Strategy & Leadership
- * Develop and own the comprehensive social media strategy for the Cardiology Group, ensuring alignment across all businesses, audiences, and commercial priorities.
- Establish social governance, standards, measurement frameworks, and best practices.
- Serve as the primary strategic advisor to marketing leadership on social trends, channel evolution, and opportunities to drive business impact.
- Build annual roadmaps, investment plans, and strategic priorities for social media programs; create scale, consistency, and operational efficiencies across franchises while maintaining business-specific flexibility.
Corporate Communications & Executive Engagement
- * Partner closely with Corporate Communications to advise senior leaders on social media best practices, executive visibility, and content opportunities.
- Support crisis communication preparedness and reputation management activities.
Social Listening & Market Intelligence
- * Establish and lead a comprehensive social listening program across Cardiology.
- Monitor key conversations, competitive activity, customer sentiment, emerging trends, and industry developments.
- Create regular executive-level reporting that translates social activity into strategic recommendations.
Key Opinion Leader & Influencer Monitoring
- * Lead social monitoring and engagement strategies for key opinion leaders (KOLs), professional societies and influencers across all cardiology franchises.
- Identify emerging voices, trends, and opportunities that can support commercial and educational objectives.
Paid Social Media Excellence
- * Lead the development and execution of paid social media campaigns that support awareness, engagement, lead generation, and commercial objectives.
- Optimize audience targeting, creative performance and budget allocation.
- Partner with internal teams and agencies to maximize return and campaign effectiveness.
- Continuously evaluate new platforms, formats, and technologies to improve performance.
Analytics, Data & AI Innovation
- * Own social media measurement strategy and reporting across the Cardiology Group.
- Establish standardized KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting frameworks.
- Leverage data and analytics to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.
- Identify, pilot, and implement AI-powered technologies that automate social listening, reporting, content intelligence, and workflow optimization.
- Partner with Digital Enablement, Data & Analytics, and Marketing Operations teams to advance automation and scalable reporting capabilities.
People Leadership & Talent Development
- * Lead, coach, and develop a team of Social Media Managers and specialists.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Build organizational capabilities in social media strategy, content development, analytics, and emerging technologies.
- Create development plans that strengthen skills, expand responsibilities, and prepare team members for future growth opportunities.
- Manage team priorities and resources to ensure successful execution across multiple businesses.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- * Build strong partnerships across Product Marketing, Customer Activation, Corporate Communications, Digital Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, IT, Sales, and Finance.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner across all Cardiology franchises.
- Influence stakeholders without direct authority while balancing competing priorities and business needs.
Compliance & Governance
- * Ensure all social media activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and promotional standards.
- Maintain rigorous review processes and governance frameworks.
- Stay current on evolving regulations, platform policies, and digital compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- * Bachelor's degree required.
- 5+ years of marketing, communications, digital marketing, or related commercial experience.
- 2+ years of experience leading social media strategy in a corporate environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in social listening platforms, analytics tools, and paid social media management.
- Experience developing executive and thought leadership social media strategies.
- Strong understanding of data analytics, marketing technology, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across large, complex organizations.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- * Medical device, healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Experience managing enterprise-scale social media programs spanning multiple brands or business units.
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as Sprinklr, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta Business Suite, and emerging AI tools.
- Experience leading organizational change and implementing new technologies.
- Demonstrated success building high-performing teams and developing future leaders.
