Staff Accountant

Position Summary:
As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close activities, and supporting financial reporting for multiple clients. You will work closely with Senior Accountants to ensure financial information is recorded accurately and in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Responsibilities:
• Support Senior Accountants with accounting functions for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Communicate directly with clients to obtain financial information and ensure accurate transaction recording.
• Assist with the monthly close process, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account analysis.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for management and clients.
• Complete bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Record payroll accruals and other recurring journal entries.
• Review and code accounts payable transactions.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records.
• Assist with annual financial statement audits by working with third-party auditors and preparing requested documentation.
• Support tax preparation by gathering and organizing financial information.
• Perform financial analysis and special projects as assigned.
• Work effectively in a hybrid environment, including in-office, remote, and occasional on-site client visits.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced spreadsheet functions.
• Experience using QuickBooks.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
