[What the role is]
Science Centre Singapore is dedicated to the promotion of interest, learning and creativity in science & technology through imaginative and enjoyable experiences, and to contribute to the nation's development of its human resource.We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated candidate to join the operations Department as a Guest Experience Assistant. The Guest Experience Assistant serves as the ambassador for the Science Centre and its group of attractions, ensuring smooth and efficient frontline operations while providing a positive visitor experience.
[What you will be working on]
As a Guest Experience Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional frontline service. You will be responsible for managing admissions, ticketing, guest assistance, queue management and visitor enquiries using electronic ticketing and payment systems. You will guide guests by providing clear information on the Science Centre's attractions, programmes, services and facilities, and assist them in interacting with exhibits, ensuring their visit is both engaging and informative.
You will support daily frontline operations, including crowd management, admission checks, ticketing-related reconciliation, visitor feedback handling and coordination with internal teams to ensure a safe and seamless visitor journey. You will deliver service in line with the Science Centre's procedures, always maintaining high standards of guest interaction.
You are required to support safety protocols, manage emergency responses, and administer first aid when necessary. You will also help guide temporary staff and interns when required, support day-to-day deployment and operational coordination, and assist with administrative processes to ensure operational excellence.
[What we are looking for]
The ideal candidate should have minimum GCE O / A / ITE or Diploma or equivalent qualifications with good knowledge of attractions, tourism services, visitor services or frontline operations. Those with relevant working experience in attractions, tourism, hospitality or customer service operations will have an added advantage.
You should have a strong service mindset and enjoy interacting with people. You must have a cheerful disposition, be organised and are meticulous with numbers. Due to the operational nature of the work, you must be able to maintain a flexible working schedule including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
