We’re looking for a passionate and curious Research Assistant to join our team in Princeton, NJ. As a Research Assistant at Cyprotex, you'll have the freedom to ask the hard questions, think outside the box, and find creative solutions that push us forward. It’s a role where your curiosity will fuel both your personal growth and the success of the team.
What You'll Do:
Working independently within a team you will support the execution of assigned routine and bespoke in vitro ADME/Tox screening assays
Assist with validation and investigative assays.
Assist with the monitoring and maintenance of stock consumables and reagents
Assist with the validation and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Provide support to the senior team members when troubleshooting.
Identify, within their group, where support is required and manage their own time sufficiently to provide this support.
Follow all safety regulations and quality control procedures.
Report any issues of concern and discuss/advise scientific strategy with the Laboratory Supervisor and/or Senior Research Scientist. Ensure all laboratory equipment and work areas are clean and in proper working order on completion of assigned tasks.
Ensure that all errors and erroneous results are reported to your supervisor with minimal delay.
Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all activities as required by relevant standard operating procedures and Quality policies.
Support the supervision and mentoring of trainees and other support staff when required.
Ensure work is performed to an exceptionally high standard, within specified time frames, ensuring safety regulations and quality check procedures are strictly adhered to.
Ensure appropriate Health and Safety procedures are followed at all times in the workplace.
Participate in all mandatory training required to perform effectively in job role.
Ensure that your personal training record is up to date and that any gaps are discussed with your supervisor.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant Biological or Chemical scientific discipline with 0-2 years experience working within industry (pharma or CRO).
Effective communication and organizational skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and multitask under pressure and deadlines.
Plate based screening experience is a plus.
Cell culture experience is a plus
LC-MS/MS experience is a plus
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
There will be training over in our Framingham site.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $57,800 to $62,000; Base salary offered may vary depending on the individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value. Additional total rewards include discretionary annual bonus, comprehensive benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, short-term and long-term disability, company paid basic life insurance, 401k company match, flexible work, generous paid time off and paid holiday, wellness and transportation benefits.
