Description
Are you a delivery focused technology professional who thrives at the intersection of platform architecture and vendor accountability? Join our Networks team as a Platform Delivery Lead in Plattekloof, where you'll drive the day to day delivery of technology, platform and network systems initiatives, working closely with senior technical leadership and external build partners from inception through to completion.
This role is perfect for someone who can sit credibly in technical workshops, hold delivery partners accountable on substance as well as timeline, and turn agreed technical direction into real vendor commitments and working outputs.
What you'll do:
- Track delivery progress against agreed milestones, timelines and vendor commitments across all active technology, platform and network systems projects
- Maintain visibility of dependencies, risks and cross project impacts, reporting these clearly through regular status updates
- Serve as the primary day to day contact for build and integration partners, holding them accountable to scope, schedule and quality commitments
- Facilitate technical workshops between internal stakeholders and external vendors, keeping discussions anchored to agreed design principles
- Maintain vendor relationship health over time, including SLA arrangements and capability transfer commitments
- Identify and resolve delivery bottlenecks, distinguishing scheduling, resourcing and technical or design disagreements
- Escalate design disagreements to senior technical stakeholders where a design decision is required
- Support architecture decision records by ensuring workshop decisions are captured and routed for formal recording
- Contribute a delivery and feasibility lens in design and planning sessions
- Coordinate UAT, go live readiness and stabilisation activities during implementation and launch
- Continue as the standing delivery link for future systems and integration work, including vendor onboarding, platform migrations and network system initiatives
What you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
- A Project Management qualification or certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent) is preferred but not a substitute for platform and systems delivery experience
- 5+ years' experience in platform, systems integration, network systems or technical programme delivery, ideally within telco, ISP or other complex technology environments
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple vendor relationships and delivery partners simultaneously, including holding external parties accountable to commitments
- Working fluency in systems, platform or network architecture concepts (APIs, integration patterns, data models, service lifecycle) sufficient to engage credibly in technical discussions
- Experience facilitating workshops involving both technical and non technical stakeholders, with the ability to keep discussions on track and outcomes documented
- Strong programme and risk management discipline: scheduling, dependency tracking, budget visibility and structured status reporting
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity during build phases where scope and design are still being challenged and refined
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to translate between technical and business/operational language
- Prior exposure to telecom systems (network, BSS/OSS, billing) or large scale platform and integration projects is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, orchestration concepts or modern integration tooling (event buses, adapters, APIs) is beneficial but not mandatory
What we offer:
- Exposure to a dynamic workplace
- A chance to grow your skills through our internal academy
- A friendly, team driven environment
- Group Risk Benefits
- Medical Benefits
- Health and Lifestyle Programmes
