ChristianaCare's Radiation Oncology at Helen F. Graham Center in Newark, DE is seeking a professional, compassionate, dependable, detail-oriented part-time Medical Assistant II with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills.

The Radiation Oncology team at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute is dedicated to providing advanced, patient-centered cancer treatment using state-of-the-art technology and evidence-based care practices. Radiation therapy plays a vital role in the treatment of many types of cancer, either as a standalone treatment or in combination with surgery and medical therapies.

Our program utilizes highly sophisticated linear accelerators to deliver external beam radiation therapy with exceptional precision, targeting tumors while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissue. With treatment times typically lasting only a few minutes, patients benefit from efficient, accurate, and personalized care designed to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Duties / Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant II greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.

Position Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent required.
• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or Hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
• 2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant is required; 3 years’ experience is preferred.

Hourly Pay Range: $20.24 - $30.36

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
