NAB has established NAB Innovation Centre India as a centre for operations and technology excellence to support NAB deliver faster, better, and more personalized experience to customers and colleagues.

YOUR NEW ROLE:

• Lead technical design, build, documentation, deployment, run and support activities across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Provide hands-on leadership for Java, Spring Boot, microservices, API development, AWS EKS, Docker, Kafka, SQS, PostgreSQL and OpenSearch based services.
• Guide SmartComm / document composition engineers on solution design, templating quality, maintainability and delivery approach.
• Drive engineering standards through code reviews, estimation, CI/CD, automated testing, documentation and reusable patterns.
• Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Security, Risk, Operations and vendors to deliver agreed business outcomes.
• Support production stability through incident response, root cause analysis, resilience improvements, monitoring and proactive risk reduction.
• Mentor engineers and uplift team capability through coaching, knowledge sharing and practical engineering guidance.
• Ensure solutions are delivered within agreed timeframes and aligned with NAB security, quality, risk and compliance expectations.
• EDS platforms are secure, reliable, observable and scalable for document generation, statement processing, composition.
• Delivery is predictable, well documented and aligned with agreed scope, quality and governance expectations.
• Technical debt, incident recurrence and operational risk are reduced through automation, monitoring and platform uplift.
• Team members receive clear technical direction, mentoring and support to deliver quality outcomes.
• Stakeholders receive clear, timely and evidence-based updates on delivery progress, risks, decisions and operational impacts.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING :

• 12+ years of development experience in an Agile engineering environment.
• Java and Spring Boot development with strong understanding of microservices and REST API design.
• AWS EKS, Docker, SQS, Kafka, CloudWatch, PostgreSQL and OpenSearch exposure.
• CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code review practices and secure engineering habits.
• SmartComm / document composition experience, including templating and document quality considerations.
• DocuSign / eSign exposure, HashiCorp Vault or equivalent secrets management, and accessibility testing are advantageous.
• Performance optimisation and tuning of high-volume services.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
• Analytical approach to problem investigation, options assessment, recommendations and structured documentation.
• Professional and ethical behaviour aligned with NAB standards, policies, Code of Conduct and Enterprise Behaviours.
• Collaborative, flexible and outcome-focused approach, with willingness to support other streams when required.
• Exposure to print-vendor engagement (Fuji, Bluestar) – Good to have

QUALIFICATION:

• Degree or tertiary education in technology, engineering or a related discipline.
• Cloud certification and practical cloud delivery experience are beneficial.
