About the Role
As a Travel Child & Youth Mental Health Clinician in Mount Isa, QLD, you will provide high-quality mental health assessment, intervention, and care coordination services to children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties. Working within a multidisciplinary CYMHS team, you will support young people and their families through recovery-focused and evidence-based care.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health, psychosocial, and risk assessments for children and adolescents
- Develop and implement recovery-focused care and treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to young people and their families
- Provide case management and care coordination across community and healthcare services
- Respond to acute mental health presentations and support risk management processes
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, schools, and community agencies
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with Queensland Health policies

What you'll need
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist, or eligibility for Social Work membership with the AASW
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in Child & Youth Mental Health, CYMHS, CAMHS, or a related mental health setting
- Strong mental health assessment, risk assessment, and case management skills
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Australian working rights (contract role – no sponsorship available)
