Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. This role plays an important part in supporting resident well-being, infection prevention, and overall facility cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all public and common areas, including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms and bathrooms
- Ensure handrails are clean and free of debris
- Clean walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize assigned areas
- Follow all safety procedures, including the use of caution signage and proper chemical storage
- Operate housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies safely and effectively
- Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas in a clean, organized, and sanitary manner
- Report resident safety concerns promptly to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing
- Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and visitors
- Work independently and collaboratively to maintain facility cleanliness standards
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Long-term care or healthcare housekeeping experience is a plus
