Overview
The Project & Programme Services (PPS) team is a critical component of the Global Project & Programme Management Office (GPMO). The team delivers predictable and efficient project performance management, reporting, and business intelligence across global portfolios. Operating from the Global Technology Centre (GTC) in cairo, PPS provides cost‑efficient, agile, and scalable programme services using an onshore–offshore delivery model. Our ambition is to become the global leader in Programme Management Services by building a future-ready, digitally enabled, high-performing team.
The Manager Project Planning & Controls (P3B) is responsible for leading project controls functions for complex, high-value programmes. The role requires advanced expertise in planning, scheduling, cost control, performance analytics, and stakeholder management. The position acts as a specialist advisor, leading teams, guiding clients, resolving issues, and ensuring high-quality delivery across programmes.
The Manager Project Planning & Controls (P3B) will manage client engagements, lead multidisciplinary project control teams, drive best practices, and ensure governance and compliance across the project lifecycle
Your role
Key Responsibilities
- Review HVAC design submissions from contractors (including air conditioning, ventilation, and smoke management systems).
- Ensure compliance with international codes, standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.), and project specifications.
- Evaluate cooling and heating load calculations, equipment sizing, duct sizing, and static pressure calculations.
- Assess system performance, energy efficiency, and equipment selections (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems).
- Respond to technical queries from contractors and provide engineering guidance
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams (architectural, structural, electrical, and MEP).
- Review HVAC shop drawings, equipment layouts, and material submittals.
- Apply knowledge of UAE local regulations, Dubai Municipality requirements, and Civil Defense requirements (especially for smoke extraction and pressurization systems)
- Note: Candidates must be willing to travel to the UAE for short durations as part of project requirements
About you
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Service
Experience
- 10+ years in HVAC systems design and review; Middle East experience is mandatory.
