Role Overview
The role is responsible for driving end to end global planning operation and process governance, ensure most optimized customer service and inventory position at company level, as a key connector between downstream and upstream supply chain who creates collaborative partnership with regions, functional stakeholders and suppliers to ensure supply continuity for achieving sustainable growth of business.
Key Responsibilities
Global Supply Management
- Monitor global business climate (business trend/ focuses/ priorities) through active engagement with regional teams at regular business forum (S&OP, demand/supply review, etc);
- Drive global supply planning process with regions to ensure effective execution of replenishment plan and adhering to pre-defined planning cadence.
- Collaborative partnership with upstream suppliers to ensure on time supply. Track and communicate on latest supply situation, ensure single source of truth across the organization.
- Work with cross functions to develop sustainable supply solutions for accommodating global supply chain challenges and unexpected demand variances.
- Coordinate with respective master data owner to ensure accurate data/parameters would be considered at planning system calculation algorithm.
- Cooperate with global sourcing/procurement to support material sourcing strategy and supply network capacity design.
Supply & Inventory Optimization
- Review and align with regions on inventory policy with full consideration of key driven factors (e.g. ABC categories, Supply LT, demand/supply variance, etc)
- Ensure regional replenishment proposal aligning to agreed inventory policies. Validate exceptional request and associated business rationale for management endorsement.
- Maintain right balance between working capital, SLOB risk and service level requirement. Offer future supply/inventory projection to Finance/Procurement function for cashflow and working capital management.
- Product Lifecycle Management
- Liaise with Strategic Planning, PMO and regions to understand upcoming NPD/EPD strategy, product phase in/phase out plan for supply solution development.
- Support Strategic Planning in executing supply strategy (supply smoothing, advanced material preparation, etc) to enable agile support for PIPO/ promotional plan.
- Assist in mitigating material/stock liability risk with closed partnership with Sourcing and Strategic Planning functions
Performance Management and Capabilities development
- Maintain regular supply planning performance review (stock availability, inventory position, forecast accuracy, etc). Present data, trend analysis and identify improvement opportunities.
- Govern global planning process adherence and provide insight for driving digitalization initiatives for promote automation and efficiency enhancement.
- Support/Lead new global initiatives and process improvement projects as required
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree holder in a Supply Chain, Planning, Business or any related discipline
- Min. 5 years in Supply Chain planning and/or operational experience gained in FMCG/IMF/CPG or relevant industries
- Worked with cross-functional teams in MNC environment
- Willing to support at odd hours to accommodate different time zones
- Demonstrated working knowledge with Sales and Operations (S&OP) Process and practical experience working with Contract Manufacturers
- High numerical sense, excellent data analytical skills and attention to detail
- Hands on proficiency with ERP and advanced planning system is highly preferred
- Excellent in spoken and written English & Chinese (both Cantonese & Mandarin)
