Drybar Charlottesville is looking for a talented, passionate Shop Educator who loves working behind the chair and helping others grow. This is an opportunity to bring your styling skills and leadership together while making a lasting impact on your team.
As part of our shop leadership team, you’ll lead stylist training, provide hands-on coaching, and help deliver the consistent, beautiful results our guests know and love. You’ll spend the majority of your time providing services to guests, with dedicated responsibilities for education and technical development.
Your Role in the Shop
You’ll help new stylists build confidence, support experienced team members as they refine their skills, and lead by example on the shop floor. We’re looking for someone who makes education approachable, gives thoughtful feedback, and brings positive energy to every training session and guest interaction.
What You’ll Do
Train and certify new stylists in Drybar techniques and service standards.
Coach team members through hands-on guidance and constructive feedback.
Lead ongoing education to strengthen styling skills, product knowledge, and guest experience.
Conduct practical interviews and technical evaluations.
Serve as the team’s go-to resource for styling techniques and technical questions.
Help stylists confidently recommend products that support each guest’s hair goals.
Deliver exceptional blowouts and styling services while modeling professionalism and teamwork.
Partner with shop leadership to identify training needs and support team development.
What You’ll Bring
A current Virginia cosmetology license or the ability to obtain one before starting.
Strong blowout and styling skills with an eye for detail.
A passion for teaching, mentoring, and celebrating others’ progress.
Clear communication skills and the ability to give encouraging, actionable feedback.
A dependable, positive approach and a commitment to leading by example.
A desire to keep learning and growing alongside your team.
Previous training, mentoring, or leadership experience preferred.
