Job Description:

The Senior Analyst, Government Cost & Pricing plays a pivotal role in Allison Transmission, Inc.’s (ATI) ability to shape pricing strategies and maintain full regulatory compliance for US Government programs. This position is responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining the non‑commercial pricing rates and cost data that directly inform ATI’s USG proposals, audits, and billing. As a key finance representative, the analyst contributes essential expertise in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and USG audit engagement, ensuring ATI’s pricing positions are both defensible and strategically aligned.

Success in this role requires strong analytical capabilities, solid accounting knowledge, and effective collaboration across ATI’s functions and with USG oversight agencies. By providing accurate, compliant financial analyses for proposals, negotiations, and audits, the Senior Analyst strengthens ATI’s credibility, supports informed decision‑making at the leadership level, and helps secure favorable outcomes in competitive government contracting environments. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, inquisitive, and comfortable navigating complex government pricing and accounting requirements while contributing meaningfully to ATI’s long‑term business success.

Responsibilities:

• Manage financial analyses and support USG proposal pricing presented to C‑suite leaders, providing regular opportunities to deepen expertise in government contracting and extending influence across ATI’s leadership teams.
• Support negotiations and audits as the finance liaison with DCAA/DCMA, gaining hands‑on experience with federal oversight agencies and building stronger audit, regulatory, and negotiation capabilities.
• Develop and maintain ATI’s USG provisional billing rates, ensuring compliant forward‑looking cost estimates and contributing to improved billing accuracy and financial predictability.
• Lead preparation and submission of ATI’s annual Incurred Cost Submission while deepening insight into cost drivers, trends, and rate structures used by executive leadership.
• Maintain and update ATI’s cost‑related policies and Disclosure Statement, offering continued professional growth through exposure to evolving regulations, cost accounting standards, and compliance requirements.
• Represent finance on a Defense Product Line Team, collaborating with operational and engineering leaders and expanding strategic skills through business case analysis, including discounted cash flow modeling and lifecycle evaluation.
• Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis, providing additional opportunities to broaden analytical experience and contribute to high‑impact initiatives across the organization.

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, government pricing, or related fields.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office applications, with strong skills in Excel.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP, cost accounting, and manufacturing finance concepts.
• Strong ability to organize, manage, and analyze complex financial information, applying analytical and problem‑solving skills to intricate financial topics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly present financial data to leadership and external auditors and collaborate effectively across diverse functional groups in an organized, coordinated manner.
