Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Control in Weston, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a government location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will use computer or tablet systems to document incidents, communicate clearly with visitors and personnel, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to authorized personnel and visitors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, and control visitor access in accordance with established government-location requirements.
• Issue, collect, and document access credentials, visitor passes, keys, and other assigned access-control items as directed.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
