Overview

Join Gallagher and play a key role in delivering exceptional reinsurance services to clients and markets around the world. As a Pro-Rata Handler, you will support the accurate administration of proportional treaty accounts, helping ensure premium and claims information is processed efficiently, compliantly, and on time. This role combines technical analysis, client service, financial administration, and international collaboration. You will work closely with clients, reinsurers, broking teams, and colleagues across multiple regions to help deliver seamless service and operational excellence.

How you'll make an impact

• Help clients and reinsurers navigate complex proportional treaty accounts with confidence and accuracy.
• Ensure premium, claims, and account information is processed correctly and within established service standards.
• Support the timely collection, reconciliation, and administration of reinsurance transactions.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, reinsurers, and internal stakeholders across global teams.
• Contribute to high-quality client service by resolving queries and providing technical support when needed.
• Provide valuable renewal information, account statistics, and analytical insights that support business decisions.
• Help maintain strong governance, compliance, and documentation standards throughout the reinsurance process.
• Collaborate with teams across the UK, Brazil, India, and other international locations to deliver seamless service.
• Support secure, efficient, and auditable financial processes that help protect client interests.
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, learning, and continuous improvement.

About you

We're interested in professionals with a combination of technical capability, analytical thinking, and a customer-focused mindset. You may be a great fit if you have:

• Experience working with proportional treaty accounts within a reinsurance broker, reinsurer, or related insurance environment.
• Experience reviewing, processing, or analyzing reinsurance, insurance, finance, or technical account information.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Advanced English language skills are required.
• A bachelor's degree.
• Knowledge of reinsurance operations, treaty administration, claims processes, or settlement activities.
• Experience with reinsurance systems such as OpenTwins is an advantage but not required.
• Knowledge of Excess of Loss claims is beneficial but not essential.
• Portuguese language skills are welcomed but not required.
