Data Analytics Specialist

We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Data Analytics Specialist.

The Analytics & Data Organization is part of Morgan Stanley's Wealth Management Division. Our responsibility is to support Wealth Management's strategic objectives through the use and exploitation of its data and analytical assets.

What you'll do in the role:

• Interface with Business Partners on a regular basis to understand business needs and expectations.
• Be fully hands on with writing complex SQL queries and building complex data models and analyses, based on agreed upon requirements.
• Support the business through producing recurring reports, ad-hoc analyses and taking part in strategic projects through data modeling and analysis.

What you'll bring to the role:

• Bachelor's Degree in Technical field with Business/Economics background or vice versa.
• 2-3 years of related experience.
• Confident in English (both written and spoken), with solid presentation and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of SQL - confidence in writing long complex SQL queries using multiple tables.
• Knowledge of a Data Visualization Tool (Tableau/QlikView/Spotfire/PowerBI/Adobe Analytics or similar) and willingness to improve is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business units, teams, and job functions.
• Highly motivated / self-starter with a sense of ownership, willingness to learn, high degree of curiosity and desire to succeed.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to determine business partner needs and create purpose-built solutions.
