Your Role at Baxter

The Manager, Financial Systems is responsible for leading the design, implementation, optimization, and support of financial technology platforms and processes. This role serves as the bridge between Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure financial systems effectively support accounting, reporting, planning, compliance, and operational requirements. The manager drives continuous improvement, system governance, data integrity, and digital transformation initiatives across the finance organization.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage and support enterprise financial applications, including ERP, consolidation, planning, reporting, and related finance systems.

• Oversee system configuration, maintenance, upgrades, testing, and release management.

• Ensure system availability, performance, reliability, and security.

• Lead issue resolution and coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors.

• Analyze existing finance processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.

• Lead finance transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, control, and user experience.

• Standardize financial processes across business units and regions.

• Develop and maintain system documentation, procedures, and governance frameworks.

• Manage financial systems implementation and enhancement projects from initiation through deployment.

• Develop project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource requirements.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure successful project execution.

• Support mergers, acquisitions, and organizational changes from a financial systems perspective.

• Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data across platforms.

• Partner with Finance leadership to develop reporting and analytics capabilities.

• Support financial close, forecasting, budgeting, and statutory reporting processes.

• Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to system performance and data quality.

• Maintain strong internal controls within financial systems.

• Support SOX compliance, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations.

• Ensure appropriate user access controls, segregation of duties, and data governance practices.

• Collaborate with Internal Audit and external auditors as required.

• Lead and develop a team of financial systems analysts and administrators.

• Act as a trusted advisor to Finance leadership regarding technology solutions.

• Build strong partnerships with Accounting, FP&A, IT, Procurement, and other business functions.

• Provide training and change management support for system implementations and enhancements.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7-10+ years of experience in finance, financial systems, ERP management, or finance transformation.
• 3+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, or similar enterprise systems.
• Proven track record of leading system implementations, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and finance operations.
• Experience with financial planning, consolidation, reporting, and analytics tools.
• Knowledge of system integrations, data governance, master data management, and automation technologies.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change within a complex global environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
