Location: Montvale, NJ | Full-Time, In-Person
Position Summary
Broad Management Group is seeking an experienced, results-driven Director of Recruiting to establish and lead a new, independent Recruiting Department supporting our growing multi-state property management portfolio.
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations and Head of Asset Management, this individual will oversee recruiting strategy, department development, talent sourcing, and hiring performance.
The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with exceptional hands-on sourcing expertise, proactively identifying and engaging top talent, particularly passive candidates and those needed for difficult-to-fill positions. This role offers the opportunity to build a high-performing recruiting department that reduces vacancies and supports continued company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the Recruiting Department, developing effective processes, strategies, and performance standards.
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for property management, maintenance, corporate, and leadership positions.
- Personally source and engage passive candidates through recruiting platforms, databases, referrals, networking, and creative sourcing methods.
- Develop strong talent pipelines for current and future staffing needs across multiple markets.
- Partner with executive and operational leadership to identify hiring priorities and anticipate staffing needs.
- Build relationships with industry professionals, trade schools, and other recruiting sources.
- Monitor recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, candidate quality, sourcing effectiveness, and hiring results.
- Oversee ATS management, recruiting budgets, advertising expenditures, and vendor relationships.
- Provide regular recruiting updates and performance reports to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive recruiting experience, including extensive hands-on sourcing expertise.
- Proven ability to develop recruiting strategies, build recruiting functions, and deliver measurable results.
- Demonstrated success sourcing passive candidates and filling specialized and senior-level positions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience recruiting across multiple locations and markets.
- Multifamily property management or real estate recruiting experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with recruiting platforms, candidate databases, and ATS systems; Paylocity preferred.
- Experience managing recruiting budgets, metrics, and vendor relationships.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
