The Opportunity

The VP of Analytics will report to the Chief Data and Analytics Officer and be responsible for ensuring the success of analytics teams and initiatives. Leveraging data analytics, stakeholder input, and industry knowledge, you will be responsible for leading analytics teams to drive profitable growth as part of the Risk Analytics and Data Science team. 

The successful candidate will be a business-oriented, high-energy, experienced analytics leader with deep expertise in statistical analysis within financial services, who is passionate about delivering strategic insights from data.

What You Will Do:

• Collaborate closely with Finance, Product, Sales and Underwriting to pursue strategic business objectives through analytics and hypothesis testing. Partner with the Technology team to successfully implement strategies.
• Lead a global team of 7-10 analysts, providing direction and fostering a culture of continuous learning, feedback, and development.
• Own the analytics agenda optimizing for conversion and credit losses. Deliver a clear view of Credibly’s portfolio health and generate accurate loss and revenue forecasts. 
• Ensure successful delivery of multiple, parallel analytics initiatives with speed and high quality.
• Partner with Pricing, Risk Modeling, and Automation Solutions data science teams to ensure joint objectives are met.
•  Ensure our data and analytics are trusted by championing high standards, best practices, transparency, and regular communication with the business.

What Makes You Special:

• Master’s degree in Math, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years experience within the Financial Services/FinTech industry. Deep experience in Risk Management analytics, including underwriting, portfolio monitoring, collections, and forecasting. Some experience in Commercial/SMB lending is desired.
• 8+ years of experience leading a team of analysts. Demonstrated success leading both onshore and offshore teams, and developing people.
• Strong knowledge of Python, SQL, and Excel. Some experience with AI tools/LLMs (e.g., Claude/Claude Code) and an AI-forward mindset.
• Strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills. Ability to leverage best practices in applied statistics to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
• High energy, proactive approach with a passion for driving results and delivering impact.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
