Overview
The purpose of this role is to develop, lead & manage the Athens Snacks Plant in terms of cost; quality; service; people; transformation, environment & health&safety.
Manage the innovation agenda and ensure correct technology; equipment & investments are made to support pipeline.
Drive full engagement of front line in the plant & business targets.
Build capability within the plant teams & build bench within the management team.
Drive Leadership and ownership, engagement & implementation of the manufacturing strategy across all levels within the site.
Responsibilities
- Strategy Development - developing and executing manufacturing strategy for the Plant
- Leading continuous improvement culture in the site and acting as agent for change
- Financial control:
- Define functional goals, priorities workload and ensure delivery of the Plant key initiatives & KPI’s in line with AOP & Strat Plan processes.
- Manage and control and drive continuous improvements across all Plant Controllable Costs in addition to capitalize expenditure
- Ensure the appropriate capital investment and resources are deployed for the Plant
- Compliance - Drive partnership with business through his/her team to achieve business goals for control environment.
- People Development
- Coach & Develop direct team; build bench & develop overall capability within the site.
- Deliver appropriate levels of capability at Front Line incl development plans for manufacturing team members and front line groups to meet changing business needs.
- OHS - Lead the agenda of Organization Health / Engagement for all employees in conjunctions with HR Business Partner. Particular focus on OHS in Manufacturing team including Frontline unionized population
- Health & Safety - lead the plant Health & Safety strategy ensuring the health, welfare and safety of all employees on site by building appropriate safety culture with shared responsibility and compliance with Lost Time Injuries and Recordable metrics;
- Sustainability - work with site EHS lead and Maintenance Manager to manage energy, water usage and waste going to landfill bearing in mind PepsiCo's pep+ agenda.
- Maintenance - work with site Maintenance Manager to ensure the maintenance and efficiency of all plant equipment by ensuring appropriate financial provision and best practice sharing with other PWF plants.
- Collaboration with MOS and TQ Sector team to ensure full alignment for all projects in place.
Qualifications
- Business, Engineering or Food Science qualifications
- Proven experience at required level in leading and managing large teams in a multi-national environment in variety of industries. e.g. FMCG, Devices etc.
- Min experience in Leadership role – 5 years
- Demonstrated track record of building organization capability
- Strong change management orientations and experience of cultural change leadership
- Substantial budget/AOP management experience
- Demonstrated capability of managing significant capital expenditure projects
- Ability to develop a capable and motivated management team to achieve future business objectives
- Demonstrated track record of pro-actively formulating, presenting & implementing new initiatives on own accord
