Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to lead the operations of our renewable gas energy facility. This role is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the plant, with a strong focus on production reliability, regulatory compliance, team leadership, and continuous improvement in line with sustainable energy goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the plant, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Lead and develop plant personnel, promoting a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee production planning, equipment maintenance, and resource allocation to meet operational targets.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations related to renewable gas operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to optimize plant efficiency and uptime.
- Collaborate with engineering, project, and corporate teams to implement new technologies and improvements.
- Prepare and manage plant budgets, cost controls, and capital expenditures.
- Act as primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, third-party auditors, and stakeholders.
- Support the commissioning of new renewable gas systems and expansion projects.
- Maintain accurate reporting, documentation, and analysis of plant performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in industrial plant operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in renewable gas (biogas, RNG) or related clean energy sectors is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of gas processing systems, anaerobic digestion, and utility-scale plant operations.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with EHS regulations, permitting processes, and sustainability practices.
- Proficiency in operational and maintenance software (e.g., CMMS, SCADA, ERP).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Energy Management.
- Certifications in Project Management (PMP), Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience working with utilities, pipeline injection systems, or grid interconnection.
