Description
JLL empowers you to shape a brighter way.
Our people at JLL are shaping the future of real estate for a better world by combining world class services, advisory and technology for our clients. We are committed to hiring the best, most talented people and empowering them to thrive, grow meaningful careers and to find a place where they belong. Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.
The Commercial Real Estate industry (CRE) is at an inflection point driven by several disruptive macroeconomic factors including on-going market volatility, changing demographics, rapid evolution in technology and data analytics, and the implications of ESG regulations. These factors are contributing to increased complexity and cost in owning, managing, and occupying real estate assets. Investors are requiring faster, data-driven insight, consistent reporting and an integrated view of risk, return and operational performance.
JLL is evolving its advisory approach to key clients by drawing together current complementary skill sets into a newly formed team focused on Strategic Value Advisory within the Value & Risk Advisory group. The team will deliver advice to clients alongside the Valuations business through three Advisory service pillars – Investor, Credit and Asset (including Asset Management Services).
The Strategic Value Advisory offer is powered by JLL's market-leading "quants-driven" approach, combining proprietary analytics, predictive modelling, and execution capability to deliver measurable asset and portfolio performance for clients and compelling commercial outcomes for JLL.
Within JLL Asset Management Services, we are reimagining how Asset Management support is conceived and executed: building a data-enabled, capital-aware and globally consistent platform that connects real estate operations directly to investment strategy in a streamlined and scalable way. The Asset Management Services offer combines established strategic Asset Management expertise with JLL's "quants-driven" approach to optimize asset-level performance and operational performance for clients.
Team Overview
JLL's Asset Management Services team provides dedicated analytical and deliverable-production support for an institutional investor client managing a diversified portfolio of commercial real estate assets across the US. This team functions as a high-efficiency extension of the client's existing platform, designed to enhance process efficiency, standardize reporting outputs, and scale analytical capacity in alignment with portfolio business plans, investment objectives, and value creation goals.
The team is structured with a Client Account Lead serving as the primary client relationship manager and platform execution lead, supported by a regional account team that will coordinate reporting delivery and maintain data integrity across the portfolio. The account team will work together to ensure standardized deliverable production, financial reporting accuracy, and consistency in performance tracking methodologies, while drawing on JLL's innovation and technology resources to enhance reporting and deliverable production through automation and advanced analytics. The specific team structure and roles will be confirmed as the account is built out. The Client Account Lead oversees the entire team structure, ensuring governance protocols, cross-functional collaboration, and operational consistency across all regional portfolios. This model enables responsive, market-aligned decision-making, strengthens accountability, and ensures operational resilience throughout the portfolio lifecycle.
Position Summary
The Client Account Lead serves as the single point of accountability for service delivery, quality assurance, and strategic client engagement across the full life of the engagement. This role requires deep, multi-asset-class Asset Management expertise combined with demonstrated leadership in managing high-volume analytical service delivery at scale, operating within clearly defined approval boundaries that preserve the client's fiduciary responsibility and investment decision-making authority.
Early in the engagement, this person focuses on account-wide delivery quality, senior stakeholder relationships, and building out the team and operating model needed to support the client at scale. Embedded JLL account analysts produce deliverables directly for the client during this period, and the Client Account Lead provides ongoing quality assurance, stakeholder management, and escalation support across the account. The Client Account Lead owns the build out of the operating model, driving the work to establish and validate the team, processes, and technology, before assuming full oversight of the regional team and end-to-end deliverable production described below.
This position serves as the primary interface between JLL's Asset Management Services platform and the client's leadership team, participating in operational oversight forums and strategic steering committees to ensure alignment between delivery activities and the client's investment strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Delivery Oversight & Operating Model Build
- Serve as the accountable owner for overall account delivery quality and the senior point of contact for the client during platform transition and build, providing ongoing quality assurance across all workstreams produced for the client.
- Build out the account team and organizational structure required to support the client at scale, defining roles, capabilities, and reporting lines as the account grows.
- Direct the mapping of current-state processes and the design of future-state workflows, SOPs, and technology integration, working with the broader JLL team, then lead the account team through structured onboarding and phased go-live planning to bring the model into production.
- Oversee knowledge transfer and process documentation throughout the build, working with the account team to ensure continuity and minimize disruption as the team and model evolve.
- Validate that the operating model, processes, and technology function as intended, working with the account team and closely with the client to confirm readiness before assuming full oversight of the platform described below.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives informed by delivery performance data and client feedback to enhance efficiency, scalability, and value delivery over time.
Service Delivery Leadership & Quality Assurance
- Serve as the single Client Account Lead responsible for end-to-end platform performance, quality assurance, consistency of outputs, leading strategic relationship management and handling escalations and ad hoc requests as they arise.
- Maintain and evolve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive operational consistency, scalability, and continuous improvement across the delivery platform.
- Oversee production of all core deliverables spanning high-volume analyst-driven outputs and judgement-led deliverables requiring embedded real estate expertise.
- Ensure adherence to agreed scope, approval boundaries, quality standards, and delivery timelines while managing operational resilience and risk mitigation.
Team Leadership & Development
- Directly manage the regional account team once it is fully built out, providing strategic direction, performance management, and professional development to ensure consistent application of real estate judgement across regions and sectors.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across the account team to optimize workflows, leverage technology, and maintain data integrity.
- Build team capabilities in financial analysis, market intelligence application, technology adoption, and client engagement to enhance service delivery maturity and value creation.
Client Relationship Management & Governance
- Maintain full understanding of client investment strategy, underwriting parameters, asset business plans, and portfolio-level priorities to inform delivery decisions.
- Lead operational governance forums to oversee day-to-day performance, KPIs, delivery standards, and scope management, escalating strategic matters to executive oversight committees as required.
- Manage escalation protocols for delivery risks, data quality issues, capacity challenges, or matters requiring senior client engagement.
- Operate within clear fiduciary boundaries: the client retains strategy ownership, investment decision-making authority, and fiduciary responsibility; JLL provides execution support, embedded judgement, and informed recommendations.
Technology Integration & Platform Optimization
- Partner with JLL's innovation and technology resources to oversee system and data integration roadmaps, platform deployment, and AI tool adoption to enhance analytical capabilities.
- Champion adoption of JLL proprietary analytics, predictive modeling, and automation capabilities to enhance deliverable quality, efficiency, and market insight generation.
- Take ultimate responsibility for AI integration and adaptation across the team, including oversight of team-wide AI training completion, governance compliance with applicable client and JLL policies, and quality control of all deliverable outputs produced with AI assistance, ensuring outputs are accurate and meet professional standards before client delivery.
- Ensure the team leverages JLL's market intelligence infrastructure, proprietary data tools, and integrated platform services to enrich analysis and recommendations.
- Drive platform-level process standardization, data quality improvements, and technology-enabled scalability aligned to the client's operational requirements and portfolio growth trajectory.
Strategic Advisory & Market Intelligence
- Provide senior-level market insight and strategic guidance, drawing on cross-sector, cross-market expertise and JLL's platform intelligence.
- Support the client with portfolio-level performance insights, cross-asset trend analysis, and market-informed recommendations where strategic insight is requested.
- Ensure delivery activities align with market conditions, competitive positioning, and asset business plan targets to support optimal portfolio outcomes.
Experience & Qualifications
- 10-15 years of senior-level asset management experience managing diversified commercial real estate portfolios across multiple asset classes and markets for institutional or private equity clients.
- Proven track record of leading teams and delivering consistent execution outcomes in advisory and analytical Asset Management support environments at scale.
- Deep expertise in financial analysis, capital structures, valuation principles, leasing strategy, and asset performance optimization, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
- Strong governance and client relationship management skills, including experience managing service delivery frameworks, escalation protocols, and senior stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to operate within defined approval boundaries, supporting client decision-making while maintaining accountability for execution quality.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, reporting systems (Argus, Yardi, or similar), and data platforms; experience with technology-enabled Asset Management and automation tools highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration abilities, with experience managing matrixed teams and platform partnerships.
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, outcome-driven investment environments requiring commercial agility, proactive issue management, and adaptability to evolving priorities.
