LGT Fund Managers (Ireland) Limited provides fund administration services to mainly private equity funds and currently employs over 50 people.
The Company is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, Dublin-based AML Manager with responsibility for operational delivery, stakeholder management, change ownership and team management. The AML Manager will oversee the daily operational deliverables of the Dublin AML team and work closely with their peer in our Luxembourg office to ensure alignment and consistent quality of service. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a growing team of 10 employees, reporting directly to the local Head of Unit. The role is critical to ensuring the effective delivery of AML operational activities, including investor onboarding, periodic reviews, screening, transaction monitoring and associated financial crime controls across the business.
Induction training will be provided, in addition to compulsory AML/KYC training and optional development opportunities. Additional role-specific training will be delivered in-house by peers, the line manager and senior management.
Job specification:
Operational Delivery: Ensure strong control environment across investor onboarding, periodic reviews, screening, transaction monitoring and other tasks. Act as check for all relevant tasks;
Leadership & Team Development: Manage and coach direct reports, build the leadership pipeline, and implement structured training and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Oversee performance reviews and manage team capacity, resource allocation and succession planning to support delivery of operational and strategic objectives.;
Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as a senior escalation point for team matters, maintain service levels and client satisfaction, and partner with stakeholders on roadmap initiatives;
Audits & Inspections: Support ad hoc and planned reviews by regulators, internal audit, compliance testing, ISAE 3402 and other assurance activities.
Process Improvement: Identify and deliver improvements with regard to workflow design, technology and automation;
Risk Management and Ownership: Manage and control risks within the AML unit. Contribute to updates for AML procedures, checklists and process documents;
Education: Stay up to date with AML regulations, industry developments and best practices;
Governance: Prepare and present management information where required.
Requirements
Business-related third-level qualification;
8-10 years’ experience in fund administration, investor onboarding and financial crime compliance;
Experience leading AML teams, managing complex escalations and cases;
Completed professional qualification, such as LCI, CAMS, Professional Certificate in Financial Crime Prevention, Professional Certificate in Digital Risk, AML and Financial Crime Prevention, or equivalent;
Proven experience leading teams of 5 or more people;
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
Central Bank of Ireland inspection and/or audit experience preferred but not necessary;
Client-facing experience;
Change management experience.
