Job Title: Market President – Carroll

Department: Insurance – Banking – Operations

FLSA: Exempt

General Function: The Market President is responsible for the overall performance, growth, and leadership of the Carroll market. This role is accountable for deposit and loan growth, profitability, customer experience, community engagement, and team development. The Market President acts as a visible ambassador of the bank, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives while delivering strong financial and service results.

Reporting Relations:

Accountable and Reports to: Regional Market President – NW Iowa  

Positions that Report to you: Ag/Commercial Lender

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute the market-level business plan aligned with the bank’s strategic goals.

  • Lead a team of commercial lender(s)in the bank’s business development activities within the Coon Rapids market through accountability standards set forth within the bank’s sales managed environment,

  • Responsible for individual sales production through soliciting, establishing, and maintaining new agricultural, commercial, and business banking relationships within the Coon Rapids market area.

  • Serve as the primary advisor for an assigned portfolio of diverse and complex commercial relationships, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention

  • Facilitate credit requests, including loan structuring, negotiating/pricing, collateral, ensuring adequate loan documentation, and analyzing industry/credit risk. Drive sustainable growth in deposits, loans, and fee income while managing risk and profitability.

  • Ensure consistent execution of the bank’s brand, culture, and customer experience standards.

  • Ensures the bank and employees are involved in the community and considered a key component of the community.

  • Cross sells all Midwest Heritage products and services.

  • Identifies and contacts key prospective commercial and business customers in the market. Document calls, contacts, all proactive behaviors and results in Salesforce. 

  • Stays abreast of all business-related activities and organizations in the community.

  • Assists in strategic planning and leads efforts to achieve objectives set for lending area of bank.

  • Works with executive team to meet strategic and budget targets.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:

  • Must have a friendly positive attitude, strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to approach people.

  • Self-motivation, strong work ethic and the ability to build personal relationships.

  • Must be able to work independently with little daily supervision.

  • Must possess competitive spirit.

  • Excellent organizational skills, work with detail, high level of accuracy, and follow-up skills are required.

  • Required to be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

  • Will always present themselves in a professional manner.

  • Must have proficiency of PC with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook,

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Bank office management and experience in business lending. 

  • Minimum of fifteen years of banking and lending experience.   

Physical Requirements:

  • This position is classified sedentary/light and requires the ability to sit for long periods of time.

  • Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.

  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: sitting for long periods, talking (in person and by telephone), hearing and repetitive motions.

Working Conditions:

  • The duties of this position are normally performed in a general office setting. This is a fast-paced work environment.

  • There is frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a day.

  • Must be able to work independently with little daily supervision.

  • < 10% travel mainly local between Midwest Heritage locations, current client and future client locations
