We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious forklift driver to operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, shipping and receiving records and ensuring that all products are handled with care and according to company standards.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to move and stack merchandise and materials throughout the facility.
- Load and unload trucks, as well as transport materials to and from designated areas and racks.
- Pull and prepare orders for shipment using the forklift and pulling and stacking by hand, as well as preparing related paperwork.
- Conduct routine safety checks and reporting any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Always follow safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing appropriate safety gear and following established safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and locations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of products and materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating a forklift and knowledge of forklift safety procedures and guidelines.
- Knowledge of forklift safety procedures and safe material handling practices.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Experience with inventory control or ERP systems.
- Experience using RF scanners or barcode technology.
Physical/Mental Demands:
Physical
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to X pounds (use your company's actual lifting requirement).
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
Mental
This position requires attention to detail, situational awareness, and sound decision-making to safely transport materials and support production operations. The employee must be able to prioritize tasks, follow work instructions, communicate effectively with team members, and maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Working Environment:
This position is performed primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. The employee is regularly exposed to moving forklifts, machinery, production equipment, and moderate industrial noise. The role requires frequent interaction with production, shipping, receiving, and warehouse personnel and adherence to all company safety policies and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
