Product Marketing Manager - Microelectronics Wastewater

Ecolab is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to support wastewater and reclaim applications for the Semiconductor industry.  In this role, you will translate semiconductor market trends, customer needs, regulatory drivers, sustainability priorities, and competitive intelligence into market requirements, differentiated positioning, and strategic recommendations that inform product strategy and technology roadmap priorities. You will partner with R&D, Industry Technical Consultants, and commercial teams to provide market input to help build the innovation funnel, support prioritization, and accelerate commercialization readiness.

What You Will Do

• Assess, analyze and summarize insights related to market applications, competitive technologies, and customer needs.
• Assess and quantify the opportunity size and business case.
• Develop and own the product marketing strategy for wastewater and reclaim offerings in the microelectronics industry.
• Translate customer needs, voice-of-customer input, technical constraints, regulatory trends, sustainability drivers, and competitive intelligence into formal Market Requirements Documents (MRDs).
• Define clear product positioning, value propositions, messaging, and differentiation versus key competitors.
• Partner with R&D and Industry Technical Consultants to provide market direction and customer insights during technical qualification, field validation, and commercialization planning.
• Contribute to pricing, portfolio, bundling, and program decisions by using market research, customer insight, competitive analysis, and commercial data to inform recommendations.
• Partner with the broader Marketing team to support go-to-market execution, including sales enablement materials, product presentations, and customer-facing content.
• Engage directly with global customers to discuss offerings, gather voice-of-customer insights, and shape market-backed recommendations for future roadmap priorities.
• Author white papers, technical knowledge documents, and abstracts that elevate Ecolab’s positioning.

Position Details

• This role is preferred to be based in Naperville, IL. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates if needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Biology or a related field with 7 years of professional experience including 3 years of product marketing experience OR Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field with 5 years of professional experience including 2 years of product marketing experience
• Technical understanding of wastewater design and operations (including, but not limited to metals removal, acid neutralization, fluoride precipitation, ion exchange, biological systems, reclaim technologies)
• Immigration sponsorship not available for this role

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor wastewater design and/or operational background
• Experience with capital equipment or industrial solutions preferred
• Experience in advanced reclaim technologies supporting Zero Liquid Discharge
• Proven ability to translate technical features and product capabilities into customer value, business impact, and differentiated messaging
• Experience partnering with R&D and engineering teams on innovation development, field trials, market tests, and/or commercialization
• Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
• Strong project management skills

The base salary range for this position is $120,500.00 - $180,700.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
