Your role at Baxter
This dynamic role, in the healthcare software industry, is pivotal within Baxter’s Connected Care Group. The Project Manager (PM) is a field-based role, responsible for the planning, coordination, documentation, and execution of customer-awarded projects according to standard work instructions. Project Managers oversee all aspects of the client project engagement from sales handoff to transition to ongoing support. Further, PMs play an integral role in planning customer technology roadmaps and customer attainment strategy. Key activities include project planning, resource allocation and coordination, project risk assessment and mitigation, revenue forecasting, customer communication, and internal stakeholder management.
What you'll be doing:
- Project management
- Act with autonomy as the primary point of contact for all client project related needs during project planning & execution
- Identify, document, and resolve project complexities
- Utilize project management software, conduct regular meetings, provide agendas and meeting minutes, and create and maintain project plans.
- Provide strong and proactive project leadership. Comfortably lead discussions with clinical and technical project stakeholders
- Responsible for continuous learning
- Learn and speak to Baxter’s Connected Care product portfolio
- Indirectly manage internal and external resources and vendors.
- Meet or exceed established PMO metrics surrounding project plans, time tracking, documentation, onsite presence, resource engagement, progress reporting, and project closeouts.
- Translate technical information from technical to non-technical resources to meet project requirements
- Customer relation management:
- Deploy customer-specific communication strategies to achieve desired results.
- Partner with customers and internal team on long-term product and technology strategy.
- Onsite presence for predefined project milestones
- Revenue attainment
- Each Project Manager is responsible for their individual revenue goal: forecast, provide regular updates with knowledge of risks and opportunities, and accountability for on-time documentation submittals.
- Project Manager role target $3.5M annual revenue
- Define a clear revenue management strategy that enables revenue goal attainment.
What you'll bring:
- Ability to facilitate, manage and empower large, diverse groups without having direct line authority.
- Demonstrated bias for action and decisiveness; comfortable navigating ambiguity and a track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
- Skilled in data analysis and problem solving using defined methodologies.
- Proven ability to engage and effectively communicate with leadership teams, including C-Suite presentations.
- Proven success in internal and external communication and relationship management with all levels of expertise from administrative to executive.
- The ideal candidate will have experience working with fully remote project teams and leading projects to successful completion.
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience and demonstrated excellence in project management; preferably with external customer projects.
- Health care, information technology, or construction environment experience desired.
- Experience with a consultative project management approach.
- PMP, CAPM, or other industry related certification(s) desired.
- Remote; field-based role with travel required approximately 25% of the time.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000 to $143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
