What you'll be doing...

Sourcing Specialist position is responsible for the development and execution of sourcing contracts across the enterprise to achieve the best total contract engagement value. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end contract negotiations and execution process that consists of the following eight steps of the sourcing process including: Supplier Due Diligence, Sourcing request review, Contract drafting and redlining, IRQ management, contract draft review and approval with contract managers, Business partner and Vendor, CAS initiation and contract execution. You’ll be negotiating sourcing contracts to procure materials and services we need, at the right price, time place and quality, while mitigating the risk. Our purchasing power combined with your skills and expertise will help us maintain our market-leading position. You will play an important role in making our Supply Chain practice a World Class organization.

• Working in an agile way and effectively managing a variety of contracts across different categories with a large supply base to meet business demands and CST commitments.

• Performing financial and business data analysis of Verizon requirements to ensure Total Value of Ownership and technical capabilities of the Suppliers.

• Supporting documents and process development.

• Managing the cross-functional teams (CFTs), following strategic sourcing processes, performing contract negotiation, contract administration including effectively utilizing sourcing systems.

• Leading negotiations on the contract terms, with the suppliers and executing the contract in liaison with the Legal and contract management team that bring in the best possible cost service guarantee and develop “win-win” strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers.

• Executing supplier relationship management activities as applicable for key assigned suppliers within the assigned categories, with oversight regarding supplier relationship management.

• Partnering with category teams, legal, business leads, and contract liaisons to streamline the contract lifecycle and maintain clear, proactive communication across key stakeholder.

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant work experience.

• Certifications in CPSM/CPM/CIPS.

• Relevant experience in sourcing, procurement or supply chain.

• Willingness to work a flexible shift to meet project completion requirements.

• Willingness to continuously learn new tools, solutions, and emerging technologies.

• Ability to lead meetings/conference calls and give presentations to small audiences.

• Comfortably use Verizon approved AI Tools like Gemini and Gemini Notebook.

• To be considered for this role, applicants must already hold a valid right to work in Ireland. We are currently unable to support employment permit sponsorship.

Even better if you have:

• Master's degree.

• Certifications in CPSM/CPM/CIPS/CSCP.

• Ability to draft the Statement of works/Master agreements/Amendments independently.

• Lean Six Sigma experience.

• Experience in Ariba, SAP, Google Suite & Microsoft Suite applications.

• Ability to lead meetings/conference calls and give presentations to large audiences.

• Knowledge of data analysis, forecasting tools and ability to develop measurable insights from data
