General Summary:

Job Summary: The Sourcing Specialist will support the Qualcomm US Sourcing team in developing and implementing supplier strategies that align with Qualcomm's Test roadmap. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage supplier performance, negotiate with suppliers, prepare and monitor scorecard metrics, and facilitate supplier agreements. The goal is to ensure top-notch engineering support, optimal lead times, supplier reliability, and competitive advantages for Qualcomm. The Sourcing Specialist will also oversee supplier relationship management, delivery commitments, and KPI measurement.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Foster strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a robust and competitive supply chain.
• Negotiate costs for quotes or align to LTAs to ensure favorable pricing, lead times, and quality requirements are met.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to optimize the procurement process and achieve cost reduction targets.
• Oversee the creation, tracking, and fulfillment of purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
• Evaluate and mitigate supply chain risks by creating contingency plans and ensuring suppliers adhere to quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, program management, and planning teams to align sourcing strategies with project timelines.
• Prepare and align forecasts with suppliers, monitoring capacity to meet demand.
• Support the Supplier Scorecard process to evaluate and improve supplier performance.
• Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvement plans as necessary.
• Execute individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in line with established processes, with minimal supervision.
• Adapt to moderate changes and setbacks to manage pressure and meet deadlines effectively.

Level of Responsibility:

• Collaborate with the global sourcing team.
• Take accountability for individual work.
• Provide global support for sourcing negotiations and complex resolutions.
• Apply creativity to troubleshoot technical problems and address novel circumstances.
• Utilize deductive problem-solving skills to resolve moderately complex issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.

OR

Associate's degree and 2+ years of Sourcing or related work experience.

OR

High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of Sourcing or related work experience.
