Supply Chain Intern (Summer 2027)

Description
Responsibilities
- Support quoting and PO issuance for numerous commodity part types
- Work with design & manufacturing engineers to maintain up to date configuration of bill of materials within a dynamic design environment
- Manage supplier profiles related to general information and payment terms.
- Work with planning team to provide vendors with forecast information to support delivery of parts designated for multiple programs to meet scheduled production timelines at appropriate manufacturing cadences
- Manage several RFP’s to down-select supplier options for cost, lead time, and capabilities.
- Work with design and manufacturing engineering to support design release against lead time assumptions and vendor identification for timely delivery against a constrained schedule
- Monitor inventory levels against demand and consumption and set up systems to procure efficiently
- Logistics coordination of outsourced parts, drop shipments, and open order management for all PO’s to maintain on time delivery against PO promise date and supplier performance
- Supplier management on a daily basis to monitor progress, maintain schedule, and ensure schedule recovery for any delays to drive supplier accountability and performance
- Ensure receipts against PO accuracy and vendor invoicing to drive accurate accounting for our business
Minimum Qualifications
- Recent completion or working towards a degree in supply chain, operations, business administration, or engineering
- Ability to take project ownership and work well in a small team
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Some experience working in procurement or sourcing, contract negotiations, and cost analysis
- Knowledge of MRP and Supply Chain concepts
- Understanding of manufacturing processes related to mechanical components
- Willing and able to work on-site in Redondo Beach, CA for the duration of the internship
- This role may require overtime hours; interns are eligible for overtime pay.

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
