Description
A leading organisation is recruiting on behalf of a client for a Regulatory Specialist to play a critical role in ensuring fertilizers, biostimulants, and agricultural remedies meet all South African regulatory requirements. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a highly regulated environment and enjoys engaging with both local and international stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Manage product registrations, renewals, amendments, label extensions, and regulatory submissions in line with South African legislation.
- Facilitate import permits and regulatory clearances to support uninterrupted product supply.
- Engage with regulatory authorities, industry associations, international suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and market access.
- Review and approve product labels, technical data sheets, safety data sheets, and marketing materials.
- Monitor regulatory changes and provide guidance on compliance risks and portfolio impacts.
- Maintain accurate regulatory records, compliance trackers, and renewal schedules.
- Support product stewardship initiatives and contribute to responsible product lifecycle management.
Requirements:
- BTech, BSc, or MSc in Agriculture, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, or a related scientific field.
- 3–7 years' regulatory affairs experience within fertilizers, biostimulants, agricultural remedies, or a similar agricultural environment.
- Proven experience with South African product registrations, import permits, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to align local requirements with global business objectives.
