What You Will Do
This will be first shift at our Winston Salem plant as a Quality Engineer.
How you will do it
Take part in the definition of quality objectives in the business plan and strategic planning
Coordinate quality related activities in accordance with ISO/IATF16949, Customer Requirement, and Clarios Policies
Report Key Process Figures to the plant and quality management and the central components functions
Ensure application, maintenance and continuous improvement of BOS or according to system and support project to reach certification
Support in setting-up structures/processes in the quality area, to ensure optimized interfaces and processes, continuously detect weaknesses in the quality system and initiate improvement actions
Coordinate overlapping activities between programs and supplier base
Oversee and administer all quality assurance efforts for components facilities and the effectiveness of the quality management system, including BEA and ISO/TS16949
Ensure that products, processes and services meet customer needs and expectations
Ability to manage RCA (Root Cause Analysis) process and present data to customers as required.
Analyze quality issues, concerns and complaints both internal and supplier’s issues
Develop corrective actions to support problems and failures, suggesting modifications and corrective actions to meet customer specifications and standards through the application of quality tools and techniques (PFMEA, 8D, Control Plan, and QMS etc.)
Take lead responsibility for significant quality issues and Quality Management System
Identify areas where product-, process- or service quality requires corrective action, implement corrective action plans and monitor the effectiveness of the solutions.
Working with suppliers on the continuous improvement process for products and services
Administer, develop and implement programs and initiatives to improve quality assurance efforts
Administer the quality assurance monitoring systems
Create and sustain a culture that is based on continuous improvement
Administer and validate all engineering change notices
Coordinate, update and approve all Quality Documentation
Manage and Maintain Quality Manage System
What we look for
Required
Maintain the report system to monitor quality KPIs and objectives
Identify training needs, plan and carry out training, (i.e. employees, staff, supervisor, etc.)
Education and professional knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Document Control
University degree in engineering or appropriate technical background in the quality management field
Min. 3 years of working experience, of which min. 3 years on quality related activities in a development and/or production environment, preferred in the battery industry
ISO/IATF 16949:2015 Lead Auditor Certified or can plan to receive certifications within period of 90 days
Trained in standards for Quality Management Systems (QMS): to ISO/IATF16949, Specific Customer Requirements
Application of QMS tools and techniques: APQP, FMEA, Inspection planning, SPC, DOE,
Experience in the automotive industry
Good skill in English (oral and writing) Bilingual a plus.
Knowledge in PC software applications (Microsoft Office Tools)
Detail oriented and self-motivated, strong communication skills
