We are looking for a Staff Engineer to join our team and focus on the backend development of the OpenBlue platform, building scalable, reliable, and high-performance services to support our edge computing and cloud-based systems

What you will do

Open Blue Edge group is playing a key part in realizing the promise of our digital transformation initiative – Open Blue. This group focuses on technologies like edge computing, ML Model Edification and running ML Model at the edge with constrained resources in the most optimized way. 

Staff Engineer SDET position will focus on ensuring the best possible quality of the product. This position will participate in Automation – both API and UI. 

How you will do it

• Good verbal and written communication in English Language with an ability to express and understand complex technical concept

Drive test plan reviews. Help correct existing coding standards and/or define improves one. < >Develop test automation according to functional and technical design specifications. Analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing code fixes for reported problems in test scripts and change requests. Participate in technical discussions; propose solutions and alternatives. Interact with Architects and other Sr members of the team to ensure that solution fits with overall architecture. Developing proof-of-concept prototypes; Providing work estimates Aid developers and support personnel as needed to determine system problems Should have can do attitude and initiative to start and complete the assigned activities. Job Location: Pune.

Adhere to JCI product security standards and guidelines for secured software product development. The software, licenses, shall be deployed and used only in accordance with JCI licensing agreements. Any software that is acquired illegally or does not have a valid license shall not be deployed or used. Copying of third-party materials without an appropriate license is prohibited. Implement appropriate physical and technical safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets. All employees, contractors and third parties shall be responsible to report all information security incidents, alerts, warnings and suspected vulnerabilities, in a timely manner, and share such information only with authorized personnel.   

What we look for Required

< >Qualification - B.Tech. or M.Tech. in Computer Science Must have experience between 9-11 years in software product testing and automation Must be able to perform in an individual contributor role and must be willing to step-up in the role of hands-on technical lead as required.

Platform: Windows and Linux < >Expert level coding skills in python, pytest, selenium or protractor, playwright. Minimum 2 years of work experience on automation. Experience and knowledge of GITHUB, Scrum methodology, etc. Experience of working with globally distributed teams. Preferred  < >Knowledge of protocols like MQTT, Modbus, OPCUA/DA, BacNet etc.
