Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Control in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a premier commercial real estate location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access and security-related systems, respond to alarms and concerns, and provide exceptional customer service to tenants and visitors. Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients at a commercial office property by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and building information, and report unauthorized access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
• Have CPR and/or First Aid certification, preferred.
• Possess a state, county, or city-issued security-related license, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
