¿Cuáles serán tus funciones?

As the General Hotel Manager for Occidental Sharjah Grand, you will be responsible for the overall operational success, financial performance, and guest satisfaction of the hotel, ensuring alignment with Barceló Hotel Group standards and objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

* Oversee all hotel departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Engineering, and Human Resources, to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
* Develop and implement strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts to achieve financial targets, maximize profitability, and optimize operational efficiency.
* Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
* Maintain high standards of guest service, quality, and cleanliness throughout the hotel, addressing guest feedback and complaints promptly and effectively.
* Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting employee engagement and retention.
* Ensure compliance with all local regulations, company policies, and health and safety standards.
* Manage supplier relationships, procurement, and inventory control to optimize costs and maintain quality.
* Represent the hotel in the local community and build strong relationships with stakeholders, including government bodies, tourism organizations, and business partners.
* Implement and monitor sustainability initiatives in line with Barceló Hotel Group corporate social responsibility policies.
* Report regularly to regional management on hotel performance, challenges, and opportunities.

What are we looking for?

* Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel operations, with at least 3-5 years as a General Manager in a full-service hotel.
* Proven track record of achieving financial targets, improving guest satisfaction, and driving operational excellence.
* Strong understanding of all hotel departmental functions and interdependencies.
* Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts.
* Proficiency in hotel management systems (PMS), revenue management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is a significant advantage.
* In-depth knowledge of the hospitality market in Sharjah and the UAE is highly desirable.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data and market trends.
* Commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high operational standards.
