As Health & Safety Manager you will partner with leaders and teams across the business to strengthen safety culture, manage critical risks, and ensure our people, contractors and operations are set up for success.Job Description
- Lead and promote a strong, proactive safety culture across the business.
- Develop and implement Health & Safety strategies, programs and improvement plans.
- Provide expert advice to leaders on safety, risk management and compliance matters.
- Oversee critical risk management, assurance activities, audits and inspections.
- Lead incident investigations, corrective actions and organisational learning initiatives.
- Build Health & Safety capability through training, coaching and employee engagement.
- Partner with local and global business areas and SME’s to achieve success.
Required Skills and Competencies
To succeed in this role you will be a pragmatic and influential Health & Safety professional who knows how to build trust, engage people and deliver outcomes. You bring a balance of strategic thinking and practical problem-solving, and you're passionate about helping people succeed safely. You are hands-on, collaborative and comfortable working across both corporate and operational environments.
- Qualifications in Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- Strong Health & Safety experience within renewables, energy, construction, or similarly complex environments.
- Previous leadership experience with a focus on developing capability and building high-performing teams.
- Experience leading safety systems, assurance programs, risk management and incident investigations.
- Sound knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and contemporary safety practices.
- The ability to influence, coach and challenge leaders to achieve better safety outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build credibility at all levels.
- Experience with ISO 45001 management systems and auditing qualifications.
- Valid driver's license.
