What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, court personnel, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen persons and belongings entering the courthouse using assigned screening equipment and established entry procedures.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized entry where required, and communicate access concerns or prohibited-item issues to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and documenting observations as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned courthouse areas and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
