About the Role

 

We’re looking for an exceptional Finance Operations professional to become the first Finance hire in our growing Lisbon office.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in building and scaling the finance operations of our newest global site. You’ll work closely with Finance leaders across Israel, the US, and Portugal, helping establish best practices, improve processes, and support a fast-growing international organization.

What You'll Be Doing

 

• Take ownership of day-to-day finance operations for our Lisbon entity.
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Coordinate payroll processes with external payroll providers and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger analyses.
• Partner closely with HR, Legal, Procurement, FP&A, and global Finance teams.
• Support statutory audits, compliance activities, and local finance requirements.
• Lead finance projects, process improvements, and system implementations.
• Drive automation and continuously improve operational efficiency.
• Help build scalable finance processes as the Lisbon site continues to grow.
• Track and support the deal flow, and ensure billing data integrity across the Q2C (Quote To Cash) process in SalesForce, billing system, and Netsuite.
• Support the current monthly billing cycle and billing inquiries.
• Support and perform manual calculations in the billing process for unsupported terms by using dedicated reports and dashboards through BI tools.
• Coordinate with multiple teams to create a seamless flow of billing information and ensure its accurate representation in the financial‌ ‌statements.
• Support SOX compliance requirements.
• Work closely with Dev, Bizapps, and integration teams.

 

• Be the first Finance team member in our Lisbon office and help shape how Finance operates locally.
• Work closely with experienced global Finance leaders and gain broad exposure across multiple finance disciplines.

Qualifications

 

• 3–5 years of experience in Finance Operations, Accounting, or a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial operations.
• Hands-on experience with payroll, AP/AR, and month-end close.
• Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite is a strong advantage).
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a passion for improving processes.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).

 

We include transparent salary ranges to support fairness, clarity, and informed decision-making early in the process. The base salary range for this position is €35,000- €40,000 gross annually for candidates based in Lisbon. Your actual salary will be determined based on your unique skills, experience, and competencies. If your expectations differ, please let us know - we’re always open to a conversation.
The base salary is one part of the total compensation package at Riskified. All full-time regular employees receive a bonus target and are eligible to receive stock-based awards.
