Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and responsible Delivery Driver to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. They will be responsible for delivering goods to our clients in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently transport goods to designated locations
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivery
- Load and unload goods from the delivery vehicle
- Ensure all deliveries are completed within the specified time frame
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures and receipts
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Report any delivery issues or delays to the supervisor
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and well-maintained
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or similar role
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Knowledge of Mpumalanga roads and routes
- Familiarity with GPS devices and route optimization software is a plus
