Cafeteria Attendant – Employee Dining (Full-Time)

Lake Lawn Resort is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Cafeteria Attendant to support daily operations of our employee cafeteria. This role helps provide resort team members with a clean, welcoming, and well-stocked space to enjoy meals and breaks. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and takes pride in maintaining a clean environment while supporting food service operations.

What You'll Do

• Set up and maintain the employee cafeteria to provide a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment.
• Stock food and beverage items for employee meals and ensure adequate supplies are available throughout service.
• Retrieve food and replenishment items from the kitchen as needed.
• Maintain proper inventory of dishes, utensils, napkins, condiments, and other cafeteria supplies.
• Monitor food and supply levels and communicate replenishment needs to the culinary team.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the cafeteria, including tables, counters, serving areas, and other employee dining spaces.
• Perform basic food preparation such as slicing, chopping, and preparing ingredients for the employee cafeteria.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Assist the Culinary team and other departments with general operational needs as assigned.
• Help ensure the employee cafeteria remains clean, stocked, and guest-ready throughout each shift.
• Provide friendly and helpful service to resort employees using the cafeteria.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Previous cafeteria, food service, restaurant, hospitality, kitchen, dining, or custodial experience preferred but not required.
• Basic food preparation and safe food handling skills preferred.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Positive and service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work effectively with the culinary team and other resort departments.
• Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and department procedures.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to lift and move food, dishes, supplies, and cafeteria equipment.
• Ability to work in a kitchen and cafeteria environment for extended periods.
• Ability to safely handle food preparation tools and equipment.

Work Environment

• Employee cafeteria and commercial kitchen environment.
• Frequent interaction with resort employees and culinary team members.
• Fast-paced hospitality environment during employee meal periods.
• Exposure to hot and cold food, kitchen equipment, cleaning products, and varying temperatures.
