About the Team:
We are expanding our Women’s Health Department to meet the growing needs of our community. The Midwife will assist in building a high-quality practice within Women’s Health, built on a foundation of excellence, compassion, and patient-centered care. Our team of skilled professionals provides top-tier obstetrical and gynecological care in a supportive, collaborative environment. We are seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to provide evening Acute Care coverage for Women's Health patients. This role will serve as the primary provider for urgent obstetric and gynecologic concerns during extended hours, ensuring patients have access to timely, high-quality care when the regular OB/GYN office is closed. The Midwife will work collaboratively with OB/GYN physicians and interdisciplinary team members to evaluate, treat, and appropriately triage patients requiring urgent women's health services.

- Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- No routine hospital call requirements

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide acute and urgent obstetric and gynecologic care during evening hours when the Women's Health office is closed.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage urgent OB/GYN concerns, including pelvic pain, vaginal bleeding, infections, urinary symptoms, early pregnancy concerns, postpartum complications, and other acute women's health conditions.
- Assess and triage obstetric patients presenting with urgent pregnancy-related concerns, determining the appropriate level of care and facilitating transfer to Labor & Delivery or the Emergency Department when indicated.
- Perform gynecologic examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and formulate treatment plans in accordance with established protocols and scope of practice.
- Collaborate closely with OB/GYN physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless continuity of care and timely escalation of complex cases.
- Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly within the electronic medical record.
- Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, follow-up care, warning signs, and preventive health measures.
- Support continuity of care through communication and handoff to daytime Women's Health providers as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed and registered as a Nurse Midwife in the State of New York.
- Demonstrated ability to independently assess and manage urgent obstetric and gynecologic presentations.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Women's Health, Labor & Delivery, Obstetric Triage preferred.
- Experience in outpatient urgent care, emergency women's health services, or obstetric triage strongly preferred.
Pay & Benefits:
• Compensation from $125,000-$150,000, commensurate with experience.
