Sikla USA, Inc. operates from our Suwanee (GA) office and is a subsidiary of the German-Austrian Sikla Group, a manufacturer of modular steel and pipe support solutions for the industrial, manufacturing mission critical and commercial construction markets. Our team services the North American markets (USA and Canada) in providing design and engineering support to owners, GCs and trade contractors, along with a logistical service to our partners, distributors and direct customers.
Job DescriptionThe Technical Project Coordinator/ Specialist acts as a key technical interface between Customer Service, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, and Warehouse Teams, with a strong focus on prefabrication (prefab) and cutting-related projects. This role supports the full quote-to-order process, ensuring that customer requirements are translated into accurate technical solutions, including drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and fabrication-ready documentation. The position plays a critical role in ensuring technical accuracy, improving operational efficiency, and enabling successful project execution. The ideal candidate combines technical drafting capabilities, commercial understanding, and operational coordination skills.
Duties & Responsibilities- Serve as the technical liaison between Customer Service, Engineering, Project Management, and Operations for all prefab and cutting-related customer orders.
- Interpret customer inquiries, RFQs, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate technical solutions.
- Support the quotation and costing process by creating and validating Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Create and modify shop drawings using AutoCAD when standard Sikla drawings are not available.
- Ensure all technical documentation (drawings, BOMs, cut lists, specifications) is complete and accurate before order release.
- Translate customer requirements into fabrication-ready packages for warehouse and production teams.
- Coordinate closely with operations and warehouse teams to support efficient execution of prefabrication and cutting jobs.
- Identify and resolve technical discrepancies, missing information, or inconsistencies across departments.
- Maintain and update project data within ERP systems to ensure data integrity.
- Contribute to process improvements, standardization, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Provide technical support and guidance to Customer Service and Sikla team members.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, mechanical layouts, and construction-related documentation.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD (or similar CAD software) for drafting and shop drawings.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (BOM structuring, calculations, data validation); proficiency in Word and PowerPoint required.
- Experience working with ERP systems and structured workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate across departments.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Drafting/Design, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
- Minimum 3– 5 years of relevant experience in:
- Technical Sales Support / Inside Sales Engineering
- Drafting (AutoCAD)
- Engineering or project coordination
- Experience in construction, MEP systems, steel structures, or prefabrication environments is a strong advantage.
- Experience in quotation, costing, or project-based customer support is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (American English).

- Full time (40 hrs/week).
- Working hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., onsite.
- Location: Suwanee 30024, and Buford 30519 (starting Q1 2027), Georgia.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
