PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION WITH THE TOURING DIVISION
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the seamless setup and dismantling of staging equipment for live
events, concerts, and television broadcasts.
- Collaborate with the staging department staff during shop preparations to
arrange stage equipment according to production specifications.
- Label and pack equipment, ensuring organization to guarantee reliable on-site
setup.
- Anticipate and prepare spare and additional equipment requirements for road
events, demonstrating foresight to prevent logistical challenges.
- Execute on-site setup and strike procedures with a focus on safety, efficiency,
and adherence to established guidelines.
- Provide assistance with scenic props and contribute to the movement of scenery
during live shows as needed.
- Apply carpentry fabrication skills or leverage stagehand experience to enhance
the efficiency of equipment handling processes.
- Undertake repairs of gear as needed while on tour, ensuring uninterrupted show
performances.
- Embrace travel with the tour, exhibiting a commitment to working extended
hours to meet demanding production schedules.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, contributing to the overall
success of on-site productions.
- Undertake any other tasks deemed reasonable or significant by management.
Requirements
- Experience in carpentry fabrication or relevant proficiency as a stagehand.
- Readiness to travel with a tour and exhibit flexibility in working extended hours
as required.
- Accurate adherence to instructions during the setup and takedown of
equipment.
- Commitment to safety protocols and the creation of a secure working
environment.
- Adaptability to unforeseen challenges and the ability to adjust to changing
production requirements.
