M&J is seeking a Senior Engineer/Architect to provide analytical, data-driven insights to improve operational performance, financial efficiency, and strategic decision-making across key business areas.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: • Lead and oversee the design, analysis, and review of engineering or architectural projects within WMATA’s infrastructure.• Prepare, evaluate, and coordinate technical reports, drawings, and specifications in compliance with applicable codes and standards.• Collaborate with WMATA and project stakeholders to ensure design intent, quality, and performance expectations are met.• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and leadership to project teams and junior staff.• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure timely and accurate completion.• Participate in design review meetings, field visits, and coordination sessions with multidisciplinary teams.• Support construction and inspection teams by addressing field-related technical issues and providing design clarifications.• Attend required meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Registered Architect (R.A.) license required.• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure, transit, or transportation projects.• Experience with WMATA or similar transit agencies highly preferred.• Strong understanding of design codes, standards, and regulations related to civil, structural, or architectural design.• Proficient in relevant design software (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or similar).• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach to project delivery.
